BNP Paribas Open SIM 2010

Postby djarvik » Mon, 08 Mar 2010 23:16

Now that draw is out, who from the Top seeds of the tournament you think will take the title home? ...or will it be someone else?

I think this is a very thought pick. Anyone can win this time! The tour is now more even then ever, with constant momentum shifts.

Picachu will be missed in this one

My pick: Baghdad Kebab
I think he raised his game to the next level. Number one spot really got into his head and he is not about to give it up. Thanks to Rob  he is now a more complete player at the net. Thanks to himself he is no longer the counter puncher....but many times the aggressor.

Runner up: Norberto H
As much as I hate having him on my SIM radar, there is no denying that his game is effective in every tour configuration. He is completely committed to his game plan and sticks to it through tough times in a match as well. He knows eventually, the balls will start falling in and a victory will be there in a hurry.

No surprises in this one. Close fights in most rounds, but the top two shall meet in the final.

P.S. - special "sorry" to Puttu Puttu. The poll is up to 10 options only, I had to include other. You are a contender none-less.

I have only played a few players yet in sim but having played a set against Baghdad earlier, I would say he is in great form and obviously he is ranked #1 for a reason

I think Epox is pretty nasty I don't know if he's my pick but definitely one to watch for. His serve was pretty ridiculous for the SIM format.

Oh and of course myself. Naturally. With Jayl0ve finishing as runner up.
Norberto H or bust.

Hahahaha yeah right...I'd do OK if I actually played, but I don't have the patience for playing tournaments against laggy opponents who are 50 time zones away from me and want to play matches at times that I am traditionally drunk

I go for BagdadKebab the sim "terror". He was already too good before his lasts improuvements....therefore ...I go for BagdadKebab the sim "terror".
I'm sure Alon can do something (sorry Norb), so...my pronostics for the semis would be Bagdad, Rae, Djarvik and Pica would be my fourth guess if he would have an xbox.... with a final victory of The Kebab

Geeps, cheers guys! Although I like to sneak titles under the radar, when expectation is up I may fall

To be honest, all of the players above on Djarviks list are great - or why else would they be top 10.

Hmmm, my top pick for this tourney are.

1) Aceusam - a very dangerous player who is massively under-rated
2) Djarvik - watching him the play the other day was just world class stuff
3) EPOX - a danger with his risk game / accuracy + S+V + 2 recent titles

I have David & EPOX in my quarter, not to mention Ace or SMP...couldn't be tougher

Good luck to all
:)
They call me Baggy...

TS3: No.1 MSS - retired (15 titles)
TS4: No.3 MS - retired (2 titles)
