I change player every tourny. From left to right and down in the roster. Now it's the time to use him :?

Anyways , I am a total joke with S&V . I keep getting stuck a lot in nomansland. Or hit the wrong volley etc etc.

I do manage to win some matches in the WT with big returns and big strokes to get some weak replies and get into the net. I even beat a Bishop player who has a pretty big return.
I am slowly improving. Maybe Rob has to explain a bit when it's a good time to release tap or whatever the volley.

But I have to say he has great potential when in good hands , cause he is really quick.
So gets to the net in time when doing it right. And from the baseline he can get in position to hit some crazy shots.

How do the real S&V players play with him?

I use him for baseline play, and if i dont goof around ( hitting double trigger everytime) then i get good results with him

He's OK, I went undefeated in 3 matches against stacked players on WT, but I didn't break once. All went to match tb, and I didn't really enjoy playing with him. I'm used to sub 70 power so that wasn't the problem, but I much prefer Sixx or Striker for volleying. Hell, I think I even do better with Bucci because for me it's all about the approach shot setting up a good volley. I'm not a good enough server to SV every time, even when I'm effective and doing it well it seems like the opponent gets frustrated by my volleys and just starts double trigger blasting everything. Which is lame for everyone involved.

Sounds like you're using serve E? The first step is to change to A.

You can just tell he uses serve E by that?

I think he knew I used serve E :-)

But I notied when stick serving he moves forward way faster. But I will try to serve once with Ancic to see if I can get forward quicker.

Though the getting stuck in nomansland is just me pushing the direction wrong. Cause it happens also in the rally . I dont seem to keep going forward. Have my thumb pushing down for some odd reason. That doesn't help. lol

No but seriously I risk a lot of course, So his lack of power isn't that bad. He is so fast . So I can defend and wait for the next shot to hit hard.
I think he is the best S&V of the bunch so far.

But Rob Jaylove asked in another thread when it's the best way to time the volley. To tap. Would be greatly helpfull if one of you volley freaks can explain a bit.

To serve and volley consistently you MUST use serve A - no other animation will get you to net close enough. As far as pushing the correct direction, there's an easy solution for that: Don't push any direction. Just serve while holding RB, and he'll move forward automatically. Don't try to control him, just let him move himself to net. Only after the return is hit should you press a direction.

As far as when to tap, it's really just the moment that you hit the ball. The problem for me is that the height of the ball affects how close it looks - without being able to let it bounce, it's harder to judge. Keeping an eye on the ball's shadow helps (which is probably why I hate the dark courts). Lag affects it a bit too - the more lag there is, the sooner you tap.

Use X for low volleys, A or B for high volleys. A if you want to hit deep, B if you want to hit angles. If you're close to the net, and you the pass is coming very fast, always use A. Only try drop volleys if the ball is waist high.

I, once again, think I've 'figured it out'...I still tap, but I try to time the contact with the ball with when I RELEASE the button now, not with when I first press the button. It's a bit hard to explain I guess, but I think I've got a slightly better grip on it now.

Yes I was the bishop anil took apart lol how he made his guy hit such groundstrokes with 54 power is beyond me. My bishop has been failing me of late. Do any of you go through that? When you create a character everything is fantastic, then he starts to feel slower, less powerful and so on. I think newly created players don't play on there actual ratings straight away. I think it takes a few days maybe even a week to settle in to there actual game stats.
