2010 TS3 Sim Tours - The "List"

Postby Rob ITST » Mon, 30 Nov 2009 16:38

OK, here is it. This is the list of the setups we will be using, and how everything will work. From now until the start of next season, we will use the time to test them further - so please give us your feedback and we will all discuss if any setups need to be adjusted, or even removed or added. Once next season starts, there will be no changes.

Additional rules:

• The height of your created character must be exactly as listed.
• The weight of your character must fall within the stated range.
• The first initial and last name of your character must be exactly as shown.
• The forehand and backhand numbers (only) are interchangeable.
• There are no restrictions with regard to the stroke and serve animation.
• Your created character may be left-handed or right-handed.

A PDF detailing the stats of all 18 characters, along with the guidelines for using the characters, can be downloaded here:

UPDATED!

http://www.intertopspintour.net/content ... _Ver.2.pdf

You can print this out and use it to check your opponent's stats before a match.

A couple of notes:

You are probably going to wonder why we have the rule, "The first initial and last name of your character must be exactly as shown." This may or may not change. There are two reasons for this: It makes it easier to find the player on the list when checking your opponent's stats. It also gives us all a common name to use when discussing the characters. So, if someone says, "Lopez is too powerful from the baseline", we all know who "Lopez" is.

Most of these setups are taken straight from the in-game characters. Some have been adjusted, some were not used. We used the attributes of both male and female characters to add more variety to the available setups.

I'm probably gonna go with the S&V, now I only need to decide which of the 3. But I'd also like to test out the alround players, like Jennifer Lopez :)

Looks good, but I don't see any players with decent speed and stamina?

I like Tompson´s stats but it´s too tall for what i´m looking for, so i´ll probably go with Sixx......i think i´ll test all of them though, i guess everyone will do the same before making their choice.

After Xavi's remark I checked the length of the players, but they're all very tall. Only 3 under 185cm.

I noticed the same thing...It's the first thing I noticed because I usually play with this kind of player....simon...76-79-54-72-58-55-78-88.

Decisions, decisions, this is almost worse than just designing your own player. I'm usually very lazy with my setups but this could take forever. A lot of practice matches will be needed. Make sure you add me on PS3

Carl Lightman should be the 5'9" guy (well, probably even 5'7" :P)

He is 6.3 in the game so we kept the height.

The reason we came up with these is that the other setups would be too dominant.

So these were the ones left over. With their height.

On the other hand . Many of the pro tennis players are about 6'1 and taller.

But I agree it's rather a tall bunch.

40% of ATP top-30 is shorter than 6'1 ;) But most of top-10 players are 6'1 and taller yes. Except for Davydenko, who has just beaten them all... :)

Let me guess who came up with the names. I see Gregory House(DJ), Nikki Sixx(Mötley Crüe?), Hiro Nakamura(Rob  )

Im guessing htere was none based on nadal except toned down a bit?

Cause i like speed and stamina :(
