WS SIM Trial

Postby djarvik » Fri, 25 Sep 2009 14:57

Would you like to have a trial Tourney setup for WS SIM?

(please, do not vote in this poll if you will not sign up to play for that tourney)

We would like to see how the WS game will play with current MS SIM rules. We would like to see if it will improve or hurt the game. Interested?

I voted yes of course.

As it's a trial it doesn't mean it will ever launch. But of course I hope it will.

I would like to hear from the ones who voted NO.

Is it because of lack of time? Whats the reasoning? Thanks guys!

On PS3 WS signup is pretty low, unless changing it to SIM would attract more players I think it is fine as it is.

Played ANIL in a friendly match using the SIM setup (50/89) for WS. The match was intense. Movement not as good as the men's and will never be but the game seems more realistic. Longer points and playing each point stategically can be mind boggling. I lost 4-6 in the one set test match but the quality on both ends was exciting. More opportunities to end points at net. Not just risk returning or RT rallies. I maybe used the RT button twice in the set. I have to admit I'm sold on the idea for a SIM WS tour. Hopefully we can have the numbers!

I also loved it. He really pissed me off with some awesome rallies where I was dominating. He (she ) took over and finished it off with an amazing volley. Ugh :-)

No really this work really well.

I would be interested. I usually play as Henin or Sharapova against alot of exhibition players and always enjoy winning against players who under estimate them. The movement is difficult but they seem to have better acces to angles or is it just me? I would like to try out a Sim WS if it happens. I usually play with Sim-like setups anyways.

The great thing about it is that you get to develop a skill instead of depending on power to win easy points, which I can appreciate. I'm a typical power player but I've found lowering certain stats I'm challenging myself to win points at net or just by smart shot making...great matches today!
