Who's the most difficulty opponent for your created player?

Postby Sard » Tue, 23 Jun 2009 15:36

Hi everyone,

It's me again, Mr. Curious!

Who's the most difficulty opponent for your created player?
Let's set difficult level for "Normal".
Just try to play 3 exhibition tie break matches with each built in player, and average the result,or pick one by your experience!

Sorry not put female & classic legends in here cos not allow too many poll options!

TIA for your input again!

None. They are all easy, even on Very Hard.

Unfortunately, AI in tennis games is very predictable and after some time with the game - easily beatable, I wish that would not be the case.

....I am forced to avoid certain shots, spots, just to keep AI in the match, otherwise it is way too boring.

Not enough AI, fixed movement just like ball machine?

Well..as a beginner, I did feel there are some difference between them!
But I haven't figured it out who beat me most.

I play against Roddick just to practice returns. It's often easier to hit good RT+LT returns when a serve is hard and flat though, so it's probably not a good idea. A slow kick serve is the hardest one to punish.

just note----you can hit a top spin serve directly up on the analog and it will fly right passed them;;;;and if they get a raquet on a return they hit the return cross court EVERY SINGLE TIME and that leaves the line open for you....thats all i do when i play the computer...VERY BORING

....and that is exactly what helps me hang with Hard riskers  ....they all are used to the ball bounces, I just make sure the ball doesn't bounce they same twice, every shot is different in length and different in speed/pace and spin....after a while it becomes a nightmare for riskers, they start to question their timing and start missing plenty.

....but at the same time it kills me against non-riskers like - anteros, joesixtoe, coolhand....simply because there is no punishment for being slightly off positioning when not risking  That's what Anil was and is saying all along....if you hit early or late, even slightly, you should be either missing, or framing the ball, or hitting a pop-up shot - not the case. If you don't risk you don't miss.

lol nalbandian goes every shot to your backhand...federer, parallel shots, nadal, cross court, roddick, very easy hehe, i havent played too much against other pros...and like djarvik said, you somtimes have to avoid winning points too easily  ...

btw, for me the hardest pro is berdych, hes the only one with which i struggle to win...flat deep and power

Like djarvik said, everyone in TS3 is pretty much easy to beat on Very Hard - once you get used to it, that is.

Berdych and Seles are the only players that would give me a fight every now and then...I found Seles particularly tough to handle on grass, but I think I'm just not that great on grass or with the women. Nalbandian should be the toughest to beat, but like someone else said, he just plays Backhand Wars all day.

I play against the computer a lot on Very Hard when I don't feel like playing Player matches against people online. Even on Very Hard, the computer is ridiculously crap at this game. I beat Federer with Borg, yesterday, 6-0 and I think I lost a grand total of 2 points, on risk errors
