mhmm alot of ppl hate:short risk slice, risk slice deep, all out risking, wide serves, short topspin shot after serve, using the approach shot to hit a fh/bh and not come to the net, drop volleys, drop shots in general, and there's more. not everyone is annoyed by these tactics only when their done repetitively and in their mind they wont stoop that low to do it back so they get mad. (just my thoughts)
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm :P

Tonedawg, you are 100% bang on the money with that one guy. You have quite simply summed up what I have been trying to say all along but you delivered it with one short/concise sentence 8)

I think it is time for me to move away from this thread for good....

Baghdad SIMbad wrote:Never I thought I would ever find myself retiring from an ITST tournament match, however I did. Trailing 6-4 to EPOX.

I already made my feelings clear. My enjoyment is being killed, period. I wish I could get over it but I can't. The 15th drop shot at 30-0 to me on serve at 6-4 0-0 did it for me.

I think it must be a case of chalk and cheese with the two of us, and other player combinations on the tour must be fine. Now I was trailing 1 set against Puttu in RG QF and battled it back - a great player and match. Then the same with Illuv, another great player and intense match. Again trailing 1 set behind and took the next 3.

But vs EPOX, I just can't bring myself to play, to continue. I guess I was hoping the style might of changed of bit but that is unfair and naive of me. I know its me who has the problem, not EPOX. I am just so much of a SIM lover and fair play that it is distorting my sense of reality - because at the end of the day, as people say, its only a video game.

EPOX, if you are listening, do an old chap a favour and if there are two tournaments on at the same time (e.g. 250) please enter a different one to me (I know thats unreasonable but its what I wish for or to be beaten by someone else so I don't have to go through the pain, ohh the pain)
I know I sound like an absolute wally, and it does not show much respect for my opponent or the general respect I have or had from other players but so be it, it is what it is. I think I need help. Anyone know a good doctor?

I would like to take this actually and apply it to my situation against Murda. I have zero desire to play this guy so I'll do my best to try and play in tournaments that he isn't participating in and I'd like him to do the same or otherwise we could have more instances where we have unfinished finals and that isn't good for the tour.

Baghdad SIMbad wrote:Goa, there is nothing bull about it.

For someone who just played 90-40 I wouldn't expect you to understand.

It has nothing to do about winning, I can't believe how far off the mark you are on that.

So let me see, because there are "no rules" then people (i.e. me) have no right to talk about issues or thoughts or even criticism.

This is a forum, by its very name it is for discussing. "createrules or shut up"? What!!? Get with it.

Maybe someone as hollow as you might just play for winning with zero intention for fair play and sportsmanship but don't put me in your category. Yes I want to win, of course everyone would like to win but not for endless drop shots and risk LT+RT all match.

All my opponents I have lost to, I always show them respect after the match and appreciate I was not the better man. Geeps I lost 7 times to Coolhand and we were having a laugh about it in the end, I was frustrated at times and wanted to win but knew he played fairly.

So your quotes are so poor they are completely invalid. Maybe it is easy for you now you have left the tour to just throw in completely random analysis - although if that is your interpretation, so be it.

However remember not so long ago you were indeed in the centre of very similar discussions on the forum about line dancing, play, top 10 calibure etc (or whatever) so don't be playing the whole "its just a game and its all about winning and every one else os a big fat liar". How old are you?!!

:angry

come on buddy ,you know it,
what you wrote here about me is completly wrong !!
however ,i will not go deeper inside -
only one thing .

to go and to bash here people about their wise to play,( INSIDE the rules )is simply wrong .

mean any new points or stuff ....okay fine -lets discuss about !
but you bring in here stuff we disscused 1000 times before (with yourself involved )
you know the forum exactly -and you now how it work .

you don´t like the style that other players are playing ?
Hmmmmm.................
thats sad for you, but without rules you can do nothing about!!
nothing , absolutly nothing .

maybe other players dislike your style
who knows ???

so everyone have different opinions about "how to play TS3 or SIM "

that is the point why we have clear rules
mean go in discuss to change rules !!
thats all what you can do !!
maybe with the management (this are the only people where can do something about )

to bash people (after 1000 same discusses ) coz his legal style is simply......senseless and wrong .
esspecially after a loosing match or a stopped match (retireing)
this makes it only more senseless and let look you bad yourself

ITST will not change any rules -so find a way to handle this .
or fight to change rules -but don´t fight people where play inside the rules
thats all i meant.
sorry when i was a little to harsh -i meant it not aggressive
