in this thread we talked again about risk slice...

but what do u think about wide serve?
i think it's also annoying playing against someone who use constantly wide serve.
if we talk about real tennis this shot is not very realistic or like risk slice is too effective.
i know it's easy to use it but there are different way to serve and get the point...

am i the only one who think this way about it?

If you guys move to the middle of default serving position, then all will be well.

In my eyes, the wide out serve is only too powerful when done from default serving position....but once you move to the center....it is not nearly as effective.

So I now suggest to everyone simply to reposition yourself to mid court and keep the variety on serve coming.

yes...what i was talking about...variety...because many players use only wide out slice serve and this is a little bit annoying...

i wanted to say only that if we wanna have a gameplay even more realistic,we should pay attention at this shot too and not only to risk slice

I love wide Serves they are easy to return but if u don't risk return then I can see how it's annoying but honestly ur guys's strive for real tennis is changing a ton of players lol but everyone needs to cooperate for ur "real tennis to happen" honestly it takes skill to do some of these shots u call cheesy Like drop shots and quitting on opponent shows disrespect any ways I doubt the rules will change so just find a way to counter it :)

It doesn't take skill to constantly drop shot after you've hit a hard flat serve out wide to win the point straight away or to get an easy return to get a winner off. No skill whatsoever. There are way too many cheap things you can do on Top Spin 3, which is why most (if not all) of us cannot wait for a new tennis game or at least a patch to wipe away some of the awful glitches in the game, in the game it isn't that easy to just attack a bad drop shot for a winner because the game is slow, but in real life do you really think a long drop shot wont be taken on the run and be completely destroyed for a winner?

Amen.

Risk slice, drop shots and wide serve don't take even a 10% skill level it takes to consistently play clean and win points in rallies or via mixing the serve.

They are simply glitches in game resulting in shortcuts in winning points that a lot of us take, and then come up with justifications.

Are necessary a lot of rules for playing real tennis, in real tennis you don´t see second services to 200 km\h (i have said this before, and yes, one day in a match a crazy player can do it, but is not normal in real tennis), risk all the returns is not realistic, ok, is necessary skill and good timing for do it, but is not real, is not real you can´t hit with power the defensive shots with slice and L2 that go floating, of course is not real R2 + L2 slice, is not real 100% of risk shots...yes there are a lot of things that aren´t real, but maybe is because is a video game, we (i´m the first) want play realistic tennis, but we can´t forget that is a video game, and there are some things that we have to accept, like 97% first service , can u see this in real tennis?
PD: if your rival always serves in the same side, is easier for you return.
