brgerflipr wrote:1st set - i had never played him in 90/40 before and he just overpowered me. likos was right, i was eating risk returns and risk winners left and right. corrbuster is a clean player, but plays a very agressive.

2nd set - i just wanted to hold serve, i knew there was no way i'd break him. started mixing up my shots and serves. plus, i got used to his power. got it to tiebreak. i managed to hit a few risk returns in and won comfortably.

3rd set - same thing to TB. got a mini-break at 6-5 and served for the match......hit it into the net! we exchange match points to 9-9 where i get another mini-break 10-9 to serve for match.....another error! i'm about to kill myself now. 12-13, he's serving back on serve, i hit a lucky risk winner for the match.

I won this match because of one thing and one thing only...............luck.

That happens to me too  there's nothing you can do but get bullied .
Especially if you don't play everyday added to the person risking the crap out of the ball you lose motivation, and become scared, then you make silly errors, hehe luckily they start to lose concentration so thats why they lose in a elongated match 8) So i guess the trick is to keep your focus.
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm :P

At least me and ovhij played our match (finally he fixed his connection's issues).

I lost 4-6 4-6, he broke me one time a set.

He is a very good returner and He double risked every serve, every return, every shot.

Anyway it seems in 90/40 this kind of play is normal so I got it without problem.

The whole match took 10/15 minutes

Good luck ovhij

Lonamer Def Likos 4-6 7-6 6-4.

1st Set I started off breaking immediately with some good groundies and some luck and i managed to hold despite lonamer's pressure!(he had 2 bp in 1st set) Although it was ms match we were playing long rallies with me having the upper hand mostly.

2nd Set I started again like the 1st set with me having the upper hand in rallies i didn't feel any pressure in my serve from lonamer. I had 4 or 5 bp on his serve with him holding like a pro! Tie break and i thought now its my chance to close it out and lonamer had other thoughts! He managed to get a mini break late and he serve it out.

3rd Set Lonamer got his "medicine" lets say and he started pushing my serve. It was one time that he was 0-40 in front and somehow i managed to save all of them with some great serves. Then at 4-3 i choked and he eventually broke me and he serve it out.

Overall great match with tons of rallies, it felt like we were playing mss. Goodluck in the final my friend.

Here are the match statistics.

Match Statistics (Lonamer/Likos)
First Serve Percentage: 94/80
Aces: 9/2
Double Faults: 1/2
Winners: 71/50
Unforced Errors: 12/3
Break Chances: 1/7, 1/6
Total Points: 102/98.

Tough match to lose man. I think not taking that tiebreak definitely changed the momentum . Once lonamer gets that second wind and sees the finish line, he's definitely an elite closer. Well played nonetheless.
