No not at all because if u are decent enough u can hit a very wide serve and just put the ball away each time

andy machine you will find out very soon....that you can serve as wide as you want and the decent to best players will not let you put it away....muah ha ha ha

I completely disagree.

In fact I dare you to serve wide every time, and see what happens.

If you need tips returning, I can help. Just PM me.

Wide serve is the a vital part of tennis, especially slice wide that pushes you off the court. This is as real as it can get. If you look at any tennis match, the most used serve is wide slice. In fact, most of Pro tennis players prefer wide slice on their second serves. Reason - easy to pull off.

....I also want to add, returning is a skill of 80% anticipation and only 20% of actually executing the shot.

Anticipate your opponent serves, read his serves, learn his "favorite" spots to serve, push him to serve where he is uncomfortable.

But remember, breaking serve in tennis is probably the hardest thing.

Fair enough , prob is i do struggle on serve never mind pming u about returns!! I just maybe have specced my guy a little bad is all

but as u say most folk do serve out wide but i just find it hard to get a deep enough return off that kinda serve :(

out wide returns

a little tip that might help......try and hit it right at their feet mix up where you return it dont try and return deep everytime.....try shallow..right at them...right at their feet....cross court...then catch them off guard every now and then by goin down the line
