I have tried, but after a day my thumb would hurt really bad, maybe I am just doing to hard. I do thou serve with stick time to time, when nothing else works, to get that extra speed, or when everything else works, to practice :)

Same as Rob, I used to have really hard motions and my thumb would hurt, now its only my left thumb that ever hurts from pushing the D-pad too hard. My kick and slice motions are pretty soft and quick. My flat serve motion is still pretty hard, I basically try and throw everything I can into that motion. Boy that sounds sad, throwing all my energy into a lit stick motion on a video game controller lol.

Anyways, sorry Iain I should have made my post a little more clear if you were referring to me. There were some times I was sucked into cheesing in TS2 matches against notorious TS2 cheesers.

Thanks! For movement, do you use left stick? How about the serve?

As per Rob's suggestion I've switched back to using the left stick for aiming on serves, but I still use the D-pad for movement and hitting during the point. Perhaps Picachu would be better to get tips on movement from though.

I use D-pad for aiming and left stick for movement.
I feel like I am dancing on the court, just like Aniltje. :P

wow how many fingers you have on each hand!

So let me see if I get it right. On returns - d-pad. Serve d-pad.

movement, you run up to the ball with stick and then quickly aim with d-pad?

Thanks!

No, I only use D-pad for the aiming of serves, other than that, left stick all the way.
I use D-pad less and less since I start my serving training.
