He has also added the dropshot to his game and uses it a lot. And at the "perfect" times too.

After a pause Pocho is back and he is playing very good tennis...
at pilot pen open he beat brgeflipr and patko.
he seems to have found confidence in Sim too...
I would bet some money on him

Yeah me too. I was suprised about his game, he changed completly he is now a serve and volley player. And a more than good volleyer. I felt it was impossible to break his serve.

Wouldnt have said R2 L2 Square and Down is 'good' volleying

i have played several times with pocho and 90% of the times he has played S&V and he always likes hit dropshots, at least with me he always used that tactis, and now, we have played some friendlies recently and plays exactly how he played before.

US OPEN MSS Likos straights sets Zintonio 7-6(3), 6-3, 6-3

Great match, with zintonio pushing me a lot in the first set. I break early and he responds with the break back and then we both were serving relatively easy. Tie break, he starts with a mini break but i respond immediately and won the tiebreak with some ease.

2nd and 3rd set. Zintonio risks returns a lot(with success) and i knew i had to serve great and hit the lines in order to disrupt him. Button serving all the way and that proved crucial, i was always 40-0 or 40-15 most of the times in my serve and constantly pushing for a break. 2nd set i converted two times and in the 3rd one was enough to grab the match.

Zintonio improved a lot in my opinion and when his returning works he can beat a lot of players. Also he used some short risk slices but i was ready for them! Good game by zintonio

P.S: I was cannon he was gray.

coke4 defeats andymachine 6-1 6-2 6-3 in US Open R32

1st Set I manage to get a break point after i hit a non risk return and then I manage to secure the break when i hit a L2 top spin return winner in the corner. The rest of the set goes my way, i think i have a chance for a triple break and a love set but he saves it, however i manage to get a 3rd break at 1-5 to take the set 6-1.

2nd Set: Andymachine is clearly not at his best and i manage to get another break, i stay a break up but manage to break again at 2-5 to take the set.

3rd Set i manage to hold then break for 2-0, with Andymachine struggling and me 2 sets and a break up it looked over, but andymachine manages to get 0-40 in my next service game and broke to 15. He started playing a good bit better now and things were getting a bit hairy, but at 2-3 I manage to rally from 40-0 down on his service game to break, i manage to hold on for the rest of the set to win a tight 3rd set.

LERC-11 defeats fedfan (6-7, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6)

Very close match. I struggled a bit on my return earlier because he was serving very well but the I managed to get on the right position when returning and improved in that aspect. Basically, the match was decided on tiebreaks. In the final set tiebreak I was a break up but he quickly erased it to level things on. Then I got 2 mini breaks and finally serve for the match (7-4). I have to give him credit because he played very well, it could go either way :)

First two sets were very 1 sided yes, but the 3rd set was very close and I was very nervous in it.
Also there was a slight lag which effected timing and as u use more risk it effected you more

Played and amazing match in semis of pilot penn vs Maximo

Lost 6-7 7-6 6-2

In this match i decided to go with jansen vs maxi. All knows the quality of return and serve, certainly the best of itst of maximo.
A dangerous bet, cause i decided too to play 100% serve and volley style.

My tactic was simple, serve and volley and reurning aggresivelly and goes for the shot on return.I used often the kick serve for goes to the net and make variation too on the place of my serve.

I won the first set in a tie break with some pretty good volleys.Saved three break points at 3-4.

In second set i had 2 mach points on maximo serve after great return top spin risk.He saved both at 4-5.

The third wa much tight than the score shows.6-2 with great returns.

I m quite happy of my serve and my volleys quality during the match.

The servers volleyers of the community can believe they can beat top player with 100% serve volley risk game.

Was an enjoyable match, maximo was mentally solid and won the last big points with a great calm.

Good luck maxi in final.

See U
