lost to kyyuji 4-6 4-6, i was burns him cannon, wasnt too bad a game i didnt volley well but served ok, i had not much chance on his service games though, even when i hit a good return the power bales yiu out so many times. i was moving so slow as well. maybe next time.


Btw, just out of interest, is anyone else using burns/striker in tournament matches? i only ever seem to play bishop or cannon.

Just lost to MathRebel 7/5 6/2, i was Burns, he used nakamura.
In the first set i volleyed really well and put pressure on his servegames. I earned some breakpoints but couldn't convert. I used R2 and L2 alot on his servegames, i had to risk on his servegames or else i would be overpowered.
He broke at 6-5 which was devastating to me, i was leading 40-15 in that game but lost 4 points in a row due to good returns from him and hit a few easy volleys out.
2nd set was much different, he broke me twice leading to 5-0. I then held and broke him back, but he broke me again taking the set 6-2.
Solid match from mathrebel, his 90 return was killing me in the 2nd set.

Thanks DarkPaladin. You've got some mad skills at the volley! I've not played many time against serve & volleyer and it was a tough match. The key was , as you said, when i've found my rhythm on return in the 2nd set. He used Burns and I played with Nakamura.

Because of him, I'm now interested on the Burns Character xD

it was the power that wa most disturbing, AGAIN i was hitting serves too quick and while getting some free points i wasnt at the net quick enough so was getting jammed.

Burns is good. I dont think you need to work on volley all that much, they was pretty good yesterday. You need a LOT of patience to pull of those ridiculous volleys lol. when you are learning you mishit, hit out, and hit in the net so many, as well as the 'drifters' that just float past you, hell that till happens to me a lot today.

Having said that while i never had a break point i had many 0-30's on your serve, so i think i could win, just not yesterday, so ill stick with burns for now.
