i might pariticipate......but i have to say you guys are wrong about federer a few years back....the only thing he did with the backhand was slice it....now hes trying to hit over the top of it......im very sure of that....you guys dont remember the reason he was number1 was because he would knife the backhand to another rightys backhand to where they had to come up to the net and he would pass them everytime.....so, please dont tell me im wrong!!! ha ha

I agree in part, he did use the slice a lot more a few years back but I wouldn't say he really knifed it. I remember a pretty soft slice either short angled to pick them off at the net, or more usually floated deep for the exact opposite reason, because everyone just used to back off it and he could regain control of the rally.

are you telling me im wrong in part? DUDE HE USED TO KNIFE IT---his nickname was the KNIVING SLICE MACHINE!!! if he wants to get back on top of his game he needs to forget about hitting over the top on the backhand side--because its no good no good at all......his backhand passing shot on the other hand is INCH PERFECT!!!

OK that's just not how I remember it.

I do agree though that he has got to bring back the slice because he is one of the few who does it well, plus with most players grips there gonna struggle to consistently dig it out and be offensive. Plus he'll be making a lot less errors which really hurts him nowadays.
