can u make risk shots with stick??

like RT + stick lob is agressive lob?

fast drop shot certainly would be nice 8)

I think the way you setup the poll is confusing. Someone who his not familiar with Color rules or your number rules will just not understand and vote for 40-90.

You shouldve put links to corresponding posts on the forum with explanations. I recon a great deal of people just vote 40-90 because of the lack of understanding the other options.

I imagine everyone who voted knows what the different rules are, since they obviously read the forums.

If they read the forums and don't understand them, then they probably aren't interested in learning those rules, and would rather just keep it simple.

Exactly! :)

Simplest decision is not always the right one. :)

I hope that not all polls go that way, or elections for that matter "we pick something that we understand and ignore something we don't".

on the other hand, there is no right decision or wrong decision, after all it is all about what people want, we just have to make sure they understand what they are voting for.

Anyway, I'll say it again: the best thing would be keep the 90-40 rule and have a optional setup, that both parties if agreed can use on any given match. But keep the 40-90 as a mandatory, this way you have a one rule and an option should both players agree.

... then, after having enough matches, we can make a semi-intelligent decision.

You are right! I played another match against a better player (who had realistic stats) and it was quite nice and I even lost (what isnt really a surprise but it was worth mentioning, although I have to admin I got disrupted pretty badly).

So, that 70's competition..bring it on :-)

If you and your opponent want to agree on using certain rules for your characters, go right ahead. Just don't confuse it with a real rule, and don't give someone a hard time if they don't want to play by that 'rule'.

you right, this can open up a Pandora's box, people disagreeing on what to use and getting upset. Scratch that idea.

to be honest, i'm a little sceptic about overall 70 rule. why? because it favours too much 2 things: risk & risk return.

if you serve with 70 serve and 70 power, you can outwide all the serves you want but a good returner will kick your ass 3 times on 4 with a perfect risk returm. it's damn too slow :D

plus, i fear it will be a riskfest, because the ball travels really slot so you'll have all the time to time shoots well.

still, i'd like to try it out, so if some ps3 guy wanna try it it'd be glad, from next monday i'll have my ps3 so i'll come back into the fields.

Postby Tantsutallinn » Wed, 14 Jan 2009 21:23

i just played against setheleh my stich against nalbandian, both power 70, well nalbandian 72 but it was a very fun match 8)

netplay, long points, turnaround in points, all together fun - and really mostly u dont need to hit maximum risk in returns or points - only in desperate situations :) like having to break back to stay in the match lol

the 40/90 rule is a good thing
the bad thing about it is players with 4 attributes on 90
that´s so far away from tennis and it´s boring
because of guys with these stats i´m losing the fun of the game and ITST more and more...
