Excellent job Riley! I got to figure out the really good players who make their weaker wing the forehand. It really seems to throw me off. Also good risking. Its really weird in these close matches, win or lose, against good riskers I have like 20 winners and my opponent has at least 60... lol.

So the match got played despite DRII's controller issues :)

two of the tours emerging players throwing all they have at each other , nice report riley.

corrbuster wrote:Corr wins first round against Francisco 6/1 6/2 Easy victory, nothing interesting. Just want to notice, francisco 99% hit drop shop after serve to oposite side. Upcoming two great second rounds: alex vs chump and DRII vs riley. So waiting for your reports...

I've never played or heard about this chump fellow, but he seems to have some good results so looking forward to it

Alex def. Chump101 6-2 7-6 (1)

1st Set

It was the first time we played each other and the first couple games we were starting slow, testing each other. On his 2nd service game I went for more and managed to break his service. A few more tight service games for both of us until 5-2 where I break for the second time taking the set.

2nd Set

Chump upped his level in this set and kept points generally short on his service games, coming to the net very fast and doing a good job. There were a couple of tight games with very nice ralleys but we both held serve in the end , not too sure about break points but I remember having one match point at 6-5 that I couldn't convert.

Tiebreak: Chump played a very solid set and sadly in the Tiebreak he made 2 or 3 unforced errors which cost him the tiebreak.

I didn't know what to expect bar what riley and corrbuster had said, but chump is a good clean player and I think he's only going to improve so one to look out for

Puttu puttuu def riley 108 7-5 6-7 6- 4

it is safe to say nobody was expected to see me in the sf of this tournament ... i must thank maximo who gave me the Wo . He did tell me to put it to good use...

Riley is a very tough player to beat . His outwide serve is incredibly hard to get to . His ground strokes are rock solid.

He destroyed me in the tie break , racing to a 6-2 lead . i climbed up back to 6-5... had a set point to defend on my serve... he won it after a few ferocious shots .

Third set :

I was lucky to pull out of this one . Riley broke early raced away with a 4 -1 lead . I guess i just played some flawless return games and stole the win!

Again well played! it could have gone either way !
