Definitely, if I had come to the tour before the SIM tour and roster started I would have left a long time ago. I am certainly not against risk, but I do think that if I ever had played a 40-90 match I would get bored of it as I did in the Women Tour.

I stopped risking altogether though, I realized without risk I'm actually a better player than with risk. And I now agree with Baghdad and Rae slightly, in that risk returns suck if they are used excessively. I still have no problems with rallies involving risk, I feel without risk I still can beat people who use risk.

I use risk on 95 percent of returns and would do so on 90 40 or 80 50 or anything , its not gonna change peoples way of playing , but Sim has been sucessful in that sense cos it has evened out everyone a bit better , its not possible on sim to risk people off the court , you have to play a bit of a smarter game on SIM , 80 50 is still very prone , it needs to be more radical than that and thats why i think SIM is such a sucess , so 80 50 is pretty much pointless

My game is based on lt+b shots, slices using rt+x to defend and get time to go back to the right position to face the next shot, running all around the court, thinking a lot, and try...only try to hit a winner (double risk) when i think i can finish the play.
My players are usually Sixx and Thompson

Yes i agree... but is 50-80 really 100% similar to 90-40?
Can you play as hard and fast with power 80 as 90?

For me - yes. It will very similar, maybe even worse.

I have never had a problem with powerful or fast players, my biggest issues with 40-90 were no Unforced Errors, No Weakness and lack of Playing Styles, Variety.

There is nothing wrong with a player being strong, powerful...but...when he doesn't have a weakness to exploit and doesn't make errors, and moves extremely fast, and has tremendous reach at 6'7, 6'8 and 6'9, we basically get the "Inbreeding" effect on the tour, making all opponents have to give birth to a similar setup to be competitive. Making us all bizarre clones. The few brave ones that try and explore options, get burned and come to forum all pissed off.

Your issue is not with the stats guys, stats are an "accessory". The real issue is the Game Play Style. In 40-90, there is 1 style that dominates by far all others.

What we tried to do in SIM is "force" the styles onto the game. Unfortunately, there is no other way. But Luckily - it was VERY successful! :P

Yes it was very succesfull and it makes more fan as 90-40 (to me).

But couldn t we change 1 small thing on SIM? Change the names to the ones of real tennis players? B. Jansen could be S. Edberg (Volley 90), Bashmakov could be Sampras (Serve 90), G. Gray could be A. Agassi or J. Connors (Return 90).

What do you think?

Courier has the worst 2 handed BH of ALL TIME.

I really mean that. It's the ugliest thing in the world.

Yes but his forehand was better to play winners, or would you disagree?

My only character left for 90-40 is my SV character, and i can still do ok. I played apathetically in a exho and managed to win, if my serve is working well the volleys are so easy and i normally get a few points in the TB :)

Yeah he had a very good forehand. He obviously did OK with his crappy backhand but imagine how good he would have been if he had a decent BH.

maybe the most interessing part of Rae's setup is the fact that it's 80-50 but with 540 points only! But i've only played 1 match vs a 100-30 hulk on the WT...It was fun though! (i won) ;)
When you want RAE! :)
