I think top spin should be stick serve only. Buttons are kind of easy to use and not that much less effective. To consistently hit accurate topspin/slice serves with the stick is difficult at best.

I think the focus should be on making the controls as simple and elegant as humanly possible...NOT trying to make the controls as convoluted and 'difficult' as possible. More difficult controls does not equal better nor does it equal a more 'realistic' tennis game....please let's stop the madness, TS3 is ridiculous enough with having to press possibly 4-5 buttons at once just to make a decent approach shot.

That's why I actually think just the right stick should be used for swinging. It would be really simple to use. Just have the trajectory of the stick follow the trajectory of the shot you want to hit. If the detail of the stick is fine enough you could get tons of variety out of it with a really simple concept.

Think about it, hard slices, drop shots, heavy topspin, hard drives, lobs, all with the same button...I feel like tennis is perfectly suited to be a stick-heavy game.

I'm just getting sick of right stick sports games. Ya know? Like if I have to throw another right stick hadouuuken fireball to throw a pitch in a baseball game I am gonna scream!!!
