BTW - I still play DMT and plan on plying....but I would prefer to sit in my living room on a compfartable couch....thats all. Otherwise I don't play it enough to get good.

....and the noobs are nowere to be found. Most people either moved on to different games or became untouchable in DMT.

That is part of the problem, any noob coming to DMT has to endure a Year (without exagurating) of 0.6 0.6 loses.

I quit 90/40 back in November and concentrated on SIM which gave me a new found inspiration, however recently I don't know my a*s from my elbow.

About 2 months ago i started getting disheartened with the lack of variety sometimes in ITST tournaments and topple that with getting a bit bored I decided to work on serve and volleying to rekindle my love for the game.

However, especially the last few weeks, I have even lost my drive and desire to concentrate my mind for 3 sets in order to get the win. I log on, start playing a match thinking "yeah lets do it" (all charged up) but then when I start the match I get bored and frustrated very quickly. I might just start playing 1 set matches

Topple this with players who constantly risk in matches and risk return, where as it didn't use to bother me, now, it does my nut in. I then look at draws that I have entered and think, he we go, boring! I know, if I feel like this I shouldn't enter in the place

Don't get me wrong, topspin is still a class game, and this is a glorious site, but what used to be "the love of my life" (sad I know) is now becoming the addictive fix, which I still do but don't enjoy so much now - Kinda like people who smoke (like me) and get to that stage and think "I am still smoking but really ain't enjoying it anymore so why am I doing it?"

Sorry for all the waffle, I think I just need to take some time and start washing the dirty dishes

I Feel the same baggy im playing with no determination to win, its good i guess as i feel pressure is off if i win i win lose i lose. i took a month break after my little break down. it was great. although i had to physically give the game to my girlfriend to hide or i dont know if i would of had the control to stop playing. i know play 907 40 with 70 power for a new challenge toppled a big gun the other day. im just gonna see how that goes. a break will do you good.

Of course we can still play Puttu, to be honest I preferred you when you weren't so much of a big risker but I don't expect you to change at all -you are risking and enjoying the play and results so despite my above feelings (which I stand by) who am I to stand in your way. So basically I am making an exception for you because we have always been great hitting partners, win or loose for both of us :)

I find with your game, similar to say that of Anil, that whilst you risk a lot your play allows for some decent rallies and points. Take however Noberto, Murda, EPOX and its just horrid - sorry guys. Noberto is one of my biggest rivals for obvious reasons but that doesn't mean the games are fun.

@Djarvik / Jaylove - I agree, I need to find some new games to play. However since playing TS3 for the last year I have tried new games, like Risen (adventure) and Street fighter 4 but can't seem to get into them enough to take my attention away from TS3 - then they just start gathering dust  The search continues.

@Anil - thanks for the suggestion, I will try the links and defo give DMT a go. I am a massive tennis fan (not just a TS3 player) and have played tennis game since I was in nappies - Super Tennis (super nintendo) used to be good back in 1990! Then Jimmy Connors tennis was pretty sweet and realistic in the mid 90's. I know you mentioned it before and we said that as I had an apple imac DMT wouldn't work - hopefully the links will work. My only reservation like Djarvik said is that I aint a great fan of playing games on my PC, i like being sat in front of my tele with the joypad in toe - again there may be the possibilty of hooking it up to TV.

Who was that then? Naw seriously you inspired me to also try playing with less power so I created a player with 75 on it. Gonna try him out in a 40-90 tournament and see how that goes.

I know BAG thought I was a loony tunes when I was one of the guys who came with the SIM mania and loved it ever since. I think he will have the same with DMT . Tennis wise.

Agreed! Me wants Top Spin 4!

Honestly though I agree with your feelings Baghdad. I feel like I've kind of lost my sense of wonder with the game, it doesn't come down to real tennis stuff like the way styles-of-play match up etc., because everybody is out there trying to risk everything and anything, me included.

didnt wanna mention any names but it was a fantastic match! many rallys, im loving the less power. The 1 move has changed the concept of how i play. With better forehand and backhand and less power im finding placing the ball where i want it is far more accurate. Even coming up against power houses you can slow the game down so they cannot slam it down your throat everytime increased speed so you have rallys slowing the play with slices to body. its great, my game against mac im sure we hade a couple a few rallies over ten shots long as he also has fantastic movement. it was great.

Hi Guys...

I am frustrated too, but why? I think Power over 75 and RT, the KEY-BUTTON, thats destroyed the game. AND I PLAYED NOT WITH RT IN RALLIES, AND THAT IS MY PROBLEM :?

When every Man played not with this button, than is the game very nice and cool.

But in the last times i have see, more and more players, need the button to win a game....Kebab, you has right things. Thats really really boring to play with RT and SORRY LOOSER STYLE Federer can not press a button in real tennis or??? LT and LB...slow, balls with genial angles YES.

The best Games, i have with Baghdad Kebab, Djarvik, Aceusam and Mack2300. That is fact.

And yes when i play vs Murda Mindstate, Puttuu and different others players, than i think i play Table-Tennis. Or Bruce LEE Super FAST Tennis!!!

Guys, the best Games are with slow and fast rallies or? With net Points, with genial moments, Tactics and Intelligence. Not games with 20 min game time, great matches with 40-50 min game time or more, with adrenalin, and chances for newcomer...

WE NEED NOT A NEW GAME
(ok Topspin 4 cool, but when comes this game? This year, 2...3...years)

I THINK WE NEED NEW RULES:

90-40: no RT and no Power over 80, serve under 70.
Sim: only no RT
Womens: see 90-40

Niten Doraku and i, we have played a women game on ITST.
We have say no LT, no RT, no RB and no LB.

That was the best women game on ITST. It was a fair game, nice game, with tactic's. Play time over 45 min 7-6 7-6...

At the moment i play with Niten Doraku, Doubles vs Amazing Zizou and Amazing Matheja.....really really funny. More fun, than single matches.

Guys sorry for my english and my bad Mood the last time... I have Problems with my game and with my players

Greeting RAE

I agree man!

Our woman match 3 weeks ago was the best and most realistic match i ve ever played on ITST.

Like RAE says, we used RT and LT just on service and return.

RT and LT (especially RT) ruins the game, make it unrealistic. Don t matter if it s Federer, Sampras, Nadal, Borg, Laver or any other great player, not one of them can CONSTANTLY hit storkes as our RT/LT players can do.

RT or LT is a little bit cheesy, but now it seems more and more people use those buttons simultanly, which makes is IMPOSSIBLE to do anything against it.

Since Baghdad and many people mention it, isn t the time there to change something?
Serve and Volley is IMPOSSIBLE to play under current rules, and it s usually one of my favorite styles.

What do you think about the way RAE and me played the WS match? RT and LT just on serve and return, not during exchanges...
