The fact that I am the one holding the controller.
Actually I never saw Lorenz as a shot making player, I tend to look to try and create an opening because I don't feel like the power is going to allow me to hit many clean winners.
Against a lot of players, including you I have loved using him even though I lost but my game has never been about using a high risk approach. Plus I really struggle with a serve stat lower than 70.
hmmm.....
I think you making a mistake by using Lorenz NOT as a shot maker. Don't worry about power, shot making is not necessarily power shooting. If you can place the ball right in the corner - power is irrelevant....TS3 is build in such a way, that a well placed slow shot maybe even more effective then a power shot. Especially in SIM, where some players feed of power, for example Alex will almost alway hit a slow counter shot deep topspin in the opposite corner on your down the line shot.....leaving you out of position to get to the ball, he sorta "flicks" the ball over (I do that a lot too). If you would make the same shot down the line flat deep but not hard, soft and deep, he will not be able to do it....his player will stumble, there will not be enough pace to the ball to counter.
But Power is there. 60 is plenty. Anteros plays Bishop on XBOX and he absolutely dominates! He mixes his shots well and can generate a lot of power....AND....get this....he almost never uses risk. RT (R2) are not really depend on the power stat, all you need to do is be in good position and your shot will have a LOT of weight and pace.
Now the serving issue is bad news. With 60 power you are Obligated to place the ball relatively well. You must start the point on your serve with an advantage.....so that is probably your biggest issue.....since you can't place it well enough, you get pressured a lot on your own serve, you probably almost always have to come up with a great shot to win a point on your own serve - that is bad news. Great shots should be on return serve games.
I would suggest you to put all your effort in improving the serve, change a serve motion a few times....see if maybe some other motion works better with the stats for you....you'd be surprise how you can generate different effects with different serve motions.
You don't have enough speed or power to be out of control at any point of the rally.....so if you feel you are losing control....go for broke and risk with both triggers.
Hope it helps man, don't lose hope.....you are still transitioning and adjusting to playing both tours at the same time...... I was on a very high note on XBOX tour, then I started to play PS3......while I did great at PS3, I lost the edge (or whatever I had) on XBOX. It took me almost 6 month to come back and play at a high level as I was playing before.
Sorry for the wall of text.
