No, it's very consitent. We never give extra days for first rounds, but we almost always give extra days for QF's, SF's, and finals.

Absolutelly correct and the right way to handle things.

As far as no point for a WO, it is a case by case for me..... to me, it is ery easy to see who is trying to abuse the system and who is honest.

extra days for first round is a absolutly not okay. when i sign in for a tournament i have 5 days to fix and to play the itst match. i must know before sign up i have time to play.

but can someone explain me where is the sense to give completly no points when i played 1+ second round and win. and in third round i can´t play and i must give my opponent a walkover.
WHY????
in real tennis when i can´t play my 3 round ,because i´m ill or mega pain in arm(MAYBE BROKEN) ,for a no go to playing the round, than in real you have the rankpoints points for your 2 winning rounds
WALKOVER IS SAME AS A LOOSING MATCH RIGHT??
hope someone can explain me this .where is the sense??

I can understand that this rule is not very popular. It seems harsh to appoint no points when you loose by walkovers. This is mainly because it is difficult to see the positive points of it.

When we would drop this rule you can be sure that we will see a lot more walkovers. When you know you have no change against your opponent but you do get your points anyway why would you make time available to arrange and play this match? I do not think more walkovers would make ITST more fun or more credible.

Im also not so sure that it would be very easy to pick out these players. I think these players would be crafty enough to let it look like they are interested in playing the match when in fact they are not.

So we will not be dropping this rule.

i understand what you mean. maybe you right,.. however i dont will start any discussion about this.

we can say by walkover is 6-0 6-0 as result. than it give not more walkovers .

It is good to see that ITST will keep the rule. I think it is crucial for the fact that it will promote players to get there matches completed.

The host can make an exception, especially in cases like these. It's just that barring the host making this decision you should expect to receive no points.

Apathetically wrote:It is a bit of a joke really. Sometime's it's SIMPLY not your fault and you get called a walkover which not only destroys your stats but taking points off as if you never contested the draw is a bit questionable. There's not much difference between telling a opponent you would rather lose 6-0, 6-0 than not even getting a scoreline AND losing ranking points. I don't think you see this in the real life tour so why would you here. I know people get lazy and mess up the draw by deliberately not wanting to play a match but when you're in the dying hours of the deadline and your OPPONENT won't even accept your friend request, it's pathetic.

BTW my previous and SOLE opponent has NEVER added me for my matches and i got the walkover last time and he got the walkover this time. Both times i tried adding him yet no reply. A bit off topic but that's an example.

sorry but you lie!!
My first walkover from 25.2 have i give you and have write you that you can win see here in the forum!

:!: :!: Than i have my next Matches by PS3 and give up and write my opponent that he can win with walkover i want now sleeping and cant play top spin 3. :!: :!: (THIS WAS YOU AND I HAVE SAY YOU THIS AND YOU HAVE ANSWER AND HAVE ME GOOD WELL DESIRED) First lie from you!

2 lie from you:

Postby Hamburgerboy27 » Fri, 17 Apr 2009 11:13

I think this was my FIRST Walkover win by about 50 ITST Matches...i hate walkover is never good for a gamer and i want win or lose my matches with tennis and not with walkover!!!And i for the rules that men become points when men lose by walkover...0 points is not good and i can understand you that you angry about your walkover but i think was the right decision!!!But please abode by the truth and this was not my blame that i have won by walkover!!!!!
