I was actually quite surprised, House isn't really a speedy player but AndyMachine got ALLOT of balls back. He anticipates where the ball is going incredibly. Even more surprising was how he did that without actually holding down the buttons he simply tapped the buttons when the ball came to him and they came with no power but somehow he still got the hard balls I threw back at him.

I played yesterday against Baghdad, i was using sixx, as usual, and he was using Striker, first time i played against him using that character. I lost 3/6 3/6 (i think) well... the point is that i didn´t expect that result against a S&V player, cause i use to return short balls quite well against that net rushers causing a bad first volley from them....but Baghdad did well, besides he developed a great game from the baseline which is something not easy if the player doesn´t have the right stats to be a baseliner.......but Baghdad is a skillfull player and managed the situation extraodinary well.

(we´re back on topic again :D )

I've been giving Baghdad a lot of s&v tips, so I take all credit for his level of play. :P

We play tonight in the Aussie Sim, but I have a feeling we'll both be using baseliners.

Thanks Xavi, it was a thoroughly enjoyable match and once again i must say your defensive game is the best about and you play with some aggression at the right moments.

@ Rob, yes a combination of my ability to serve with the stick and your tips have helped me a lot. I would start using a serve + volley player like striker more but I need to be more like you before i even attempt to play ITST with him because i would be wiped off the court by the top players. Exhibtions i will play striker at times to take all my attention away from Cannon
:D

Looking forward to our match Rob, if i am honest i am a bit scared of you, i hear you have a mean baseline game although i have only ever played you S+V. Perhaps that first ever 'Test' SIM tournament you played baseliner, and you won in 3. Should be fun.

Peace

Just played a SIM match with Anteros, Woohoo, I took off a set this time!
Anyway, even though I lost, I hit some nasty angled LT shots, and they were from my Bucci's weaker forehand side.
I feel so great because I could not believe my eyes when I hit these shots. Some of them were hit when I was on the run.
I have the most fun when I can work my points and go on a streak without missing LT shots. :P

Glad to be able to bump this with a result :)
Had a great old-fashioned 40-90 battle with Norberto earlier in which he won 7-6 3-6 7-6. It was a great match with some real heavy hitting - one of the most fun matches I've had in a while.
I didn't expect the score to be quite so close to be honest. I think it drives Norberto crazy that he isn't quite able to blast me off the court the way he would like to  In fact, I tend to play my most aggressive tennis against him and it seems to pay off. I can't seem to reproduce this level against any other top player though :? . I guess my game just matches up really well against his. It is all about match ups 8)

Mack is really a strange guy! Everytime I play him, I feel like he should be top5 - there are hardly players out there, who cause me as many problems as he does. Except his **** serve, every part of his game is great IMO - he is able to reach balls and return them with interest, not even Anteros is able to - besides his defense abilities he has a very dangerous offensive-game. It is unbelievable hard for me to beat this guy... so I have to ask myself: WHY IS THIS GUY LEAVING EVERY BIG TOURNAMENT IN THE 1ST or 2ND ROUND :? ? There are many guys who play better than their ITST-results would make you believe, but I have never seen SUCH a waste of talent! Mack, like I told you some month ago: sometimes only one big upset is enough for someone, to become a serial winner - you have the potential, that's for sure!
