Started off with a match against SoundfSilence, with him using his Sampras. 75/55/87/55/73/71/72/72 or so. Lost 3-6 2-6 6-4 6-4 4-6, really fun game.

Played coke4 later, against his Morrow, don't know the setup anymore. Lost 2-6 6-7, both sets were really close, but he was better on the decisive points.

Next up was Tonedawg, using a stacked sim, was completely overpowered, gave me my diner of 2 bagels.

And just finished another match against SoundfSilence Sampras, losing 4-6 4-6, a completely different match than earlier today, when we had many breaks. This time we held serve much more often.

I'm looking forward to actually winning a match again, but I'm closing in :)

We had a good one too! although the bagel was unfair.

Hehe tombs.

Played a SIM match vs SoundofSilence just there. He won 6-7 7-5 6-3. And there your thinking the score is pretty normal

Yeah, was good fun. His S&V player vs my counterpuncher with 81 FH. The first set i went 4-0 up, then i lost it. My returns seemed to be working really well, as he missed many volleys. I dont know what happened, but he won 5 games in a row, then we held serve till the tiebreak. I got a minibreak to start it, then he broke back. I then got another minibreak and was serving at 6-4 when he got a break back. I think the eventual score was 8-6 to me(maybe 9-7).
In the next set, he broke immediately, i then broke back, then he broke again, then i broke back. I then held serve, and he held serve. I then saved off 3 break points and held, got 2 break points of my own to go 5-3 up but he saved them, making it 4-4. We each then held serve till 5-5, when he broke me. This time i didnt break back :( Set 7-5.

3rd Set. I held then broke immediately, then he broke back and then i broke again. He then broke back and won 4 games on the trot afterwards. IT was a great match, with some really long rallies, and some awesome winners. I felt both of us had good net play. THe only downside i feel was that my movement was a bit quirky, probably a result of my month or so lay off from the game.

Anyway, ill get a pic of the stats up soon. 8)

me and tombs had a good one, 1st set i won 6-0, but its not worth describing it was very close. the second was the great one. my guiy was rapidly running out of stamina and my serve and volleys went to crap and we traded many breaks, it was only my baseline game which kept me in it and thats a bit of a paradox as my guy is a serve volleyer with 55 bachand lol. but i mamanged to scrape a break and hold and win it 6-4. for sure if it went to a 3rd set i would have been destroyed. i had no stamina left and my biggest weapon of serve had all but gone. so tombs i was lucky! will play again soon :)

Oh yes, had forgotten about that, played so many matches...
Was a good one indeed. I'm on my best when I'm trailing, which means I can't win as my game falls apart when I'm leading :P

Played SoundfSilence again today. Won 7-5 4-6 6-3 :D
Actually it was best of 5 and I lost 7-5 4-6 6-3 0-6 1-6, everything that went right in the first 3 sets somehow went wrong in the last 2

This match went down to mental strength in the end and my Pete Sampras had that edge over Viera's Fernando Torres!

1st Set:

Torres raced to a 4-0 love. It was looking embarrasing, Torres hitting winners at will... Sampras leaving routine volleys go past him. Nevertheless, he knew he had the game to bring this back while Torres relaxed and took it easy. Aggressive groundstrokes and net rushing saw Sampras breaking back twice.. Holding his serve relatively with ease. At this stage, Torres was rumbled. It looked like he didn't want to be on court anymore, but somehow he held his serve and believed in himself again.

Sampras was devastated in losing the tie-break after an unlikely come back. He let easy volleys by him in the tie break as he did at the beginning of the set.

2nd Set:

Great start by Sampras, forgetting what's just happened, he broke immediatly. A weak service game followed, and some nice flush returns saw Torres break back. Both players saved some tense breakpoints, true test of character. It was Sampras though who made the break through. He served out the set to take it 7-5.

3rd Set:

I remember this set slightly differently than Viera's account. He think Torres actually went 3-0 up.. He held serve, broke, then held serve. Sampras thought enough was enough and went on to win 6 games on the trot :D

What the players said afterwards:

Torres - "My movement was a sluggish, and I felt jetlagged when Sampras passed me. This wasn't why I lost. I lost to a legend who came up with the goods on big points" (Well, I'm sure Torres would have said that at press interview :P)

Sampras - "It's a great feeling to know that I can still go out there and compete with a top youngster like Torres. I'll look to build on this win and prepare for 2010"

Sampras Vs vB

Both Realistic Sim setups, S & V vs Fast baseliner with a cracking FH

1st Set:

Exchange of breaks. It seemed like it was easier to hold serve than to break! At 5-5 vB played solidly, Sampras really needed to break but he couldn't.. As he feared, he got broken, vB taking the set 7-5 and he will serve first in the 2nd set.

2nd Set:

Again exchange of breaks at will... Sampras determined to show who's boss. Took it 6-4.

3rd Set:

vB found belief and confidence racing to 5-2 and had setpoints against the Sampras serves. Sampras held tight, but the inevitable happened.. vB held on and took it 6-3.

4th Set:

Enough was enough for Pete Sampras. It was getting late, and the crowd had already seen great exhibition. It was time to put an end, dished out a bagel to vB at will... 6-0

5th Set:

vB was hungry... one bagel was not enough... Unfortunatly another didn't come.. a bread stick will have to do 6-1

What the players said:

vB - "Congratulations! I don't know what went wrong in the last 2 sets... My PS3 is cursed!"

Sampras - vB played his part. He gave it everything. All that running in the first few sets took it out of him. I got lucky he tire towards the end.

never played against a player with this stats...
we played great match with fun rallies.we play almost in the same way.
thx soundfsilence.
very happy to play with u

The battle of the Hewitts! I thought my backhand crosscourt was good until I faced Petrelli. Excellent match, could have gone either way, Petrelli had more confidence and won it.

Since then we have had more matches, luckily I have faced Petrelli's Hewitt again yet :D

I have won some close matches, I mean.. the word close is an understatement.. Our recent matches have been like 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 etc... I had a couple of easier wins, but most of them have been intense. Great fun. Thanks Petrelli :)

Real shame our connections kept cutting out...

Tonedawg used a heavy hitting S. Federer, where as I used my trademark best in the world return Agassi. We played twice, the first match Tonedawg took the first set 6-4, Agassi did break, but S.Federer broke one more.

The 2nd set Agassi was a break up.. and then our connection crashed.

We tried to play again, S.Federer breaking first, but before Agassi had a chance to claw back, we got disconnected :(

Well done to Tonedawg, he uses Becker's serve animation and he does a great job!
