US Men's Clay Court Championship Quarter Final
Coke4 defeats Fedfan 7-6(6) 6-3, advances to SF

1st Serve We both start out holding easily. With him serving at 3-3 I open up a 15-40 lead on his serve, he saves the first but i take the second to break for 4-3. In my next game he gets 30-40, but i saved the break point, however he gor another and took it to break. We go on serve until the tie break. The tie break was intense, he went up a mini break but i got it back, then i went up a mini break and had set point at 6-4, but he saves it, i end up taking it 8-6.

2nd Set We both hold serve easily until 3-2, at 3-2 with him servig i open up 15-40 lead and take it when he hits a bh into the net. I hold for 5-2 then get 15-40 on his serve, he saved the two match points aznd holds. I then serve it out to 30.

Good match Coke, especially the first set. The second point in the breaker saw some awesome defence from Coke, I just could not kill the point off.

One of my most consistent performances in SIM all season so I'm happy with that. The points were very even and well balanced but his first serve was much better than mine and that was the main difference.

That's the one, it went so high it was like a lob and I got caught in no mans land between the baseline and the net and netted the next ball.

One of the most eagerly awaited matchup between TomBs (Nakamura) Vs Vieira (Rogers). Here's their match report:

TomBstoned knocks out Vieira, 6-4, 6-0

Much was at stake in this R16-battle betwen TomBs and Vieira151. TomBs would equal Vieira151's record losing streak of 22 matches in a row when losing, so tough choice for Vieira151.

TomBs' Nakamura started serving but got broken straightaway. Vieira151's Rogers held serve for a 2-0 lead. Then it went on serve until 4-3. Vieira151 was serving, but aggressive play by TomBs lead him to the rebreak.

At 5-4 Vieira151 was serving to stay in the set. He overcame 2 setpoints to make it deuce when out of the blue the umpire got overheated and was taken to hospital.. After some delay the match could continue. TomBs was less affected by the delay as he took the set by converting his 4th setpoint.

Second set started with an easy hold for TomBs, and as Vieira151 started to hit many errors it was just a matter of time before TomBs could grab his 1st victory in a year. Despite creating good power from baseline and some very deep high topspin shots Vieira151 couldn't prevent the bagel: 6-0.

wow, with all my respect, i can´t understand (or maybe yes) how there are some players that lose almost all their matches, they are good players and could win more matches.

Lost again :( (what's the record I may break it haha)

7-6 6-3 to andymachine.

The entire first set I was desperate to avoid a tiebreak because the way andy plays too much chance involved for my liking, because of the way he returns just risk so I have no idea what going to happen. He managed to get a few of his risk shots which meant I was screwed. In second set he managed to break me once by string together a couple of risk shot returns and I couldn't quite break back, got close but just couldn't. So yeah I'm disliking ts more and more each loss. I just want a freakin win :(

I must say was a very difficult match , i just felt i had to go for it at some stage tho , and the key for me was holding my own serve which can be difficult at times but i played very well on my service games and the in game rallies were very good , and some really sharp angle wrong footing shots from both

Close one :)
