i think that all of us know how we play and when we use a shot which is considered cheesy, is not necessary ask.

Likos - that's just the way it is now my friend. Two of my last three matches, my opponents hit 20+ dropshot winners each. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is what it has come to? Perfecting the dropshot winner?

Calvkln played a guy the other day who did nothing but wide serve & risk sliced. NOTHING, just that. Ridiculous.

Some play to win, some play for fun, some play for respect. But most people play to win. Sadly, it makes for some pretty boring, stupid matches. But if we get lucky, we can find some good matches too.

I'll be back in 2 weeks, so if anyone wants an easy and fair win, just contact me then. I'm always in the mood for some bagels.

I know i like to risk return but rarely do it on rallies, if i played someone that served then instantly short sliced id quit and give them the match instantly, this forum isnt as fun as it used to be , there used to be a lot more unique characters and matches and most people had their own particular styles , but 20 dropshots??? haha thats just too far

Lol my friend i totally agree with you.

About the quality matches, we usually get to them after QF, if we get through of course  .

To be honest, i play to win as well but with respect to my opponent. And if i lose because i was simply outplayed then "congrats my friend!" not with short risk slicing and dropshots after hardhitting shots!

You know it's tough. I myself am not a power player and do not risk very often and yet if that is your style then it is what it is. There is no secret that power rules tennis (ask del potro and serena) and if you can hit an incredible backspin ball that is tough to get to then you should do it. Dropshots the same. I lose a lot to super stacked high powered players but it is pointless to complain because I would hate the game if everyone played like me. The fact that there are players like me I think enhances the tour, because most are certainly power players.

I've played lots of friendlies with you, and I have never seen you used cheesy tactics. Reading the forums recently, it seems you may have been using a short slice directly after serve.

Using a short slice after your serve is really cheesy, the shot is 'broken'.. far too effective, and easy to do. If you have used this shot when we played, I would have messaged to explain that it is cheesy.

It's good though that you are discussing it openly with everyone. Main thing is to have fun bud

No problems with risk returns in my opinion. The match can be boring if you hit risk return 90-100% of the time (only because most of these would go out against decent servers).

But, if you are hitting risk returns 90-100% of the time, and they mainly go in, then there is no problem in this... It is the server's problem for hitting rubbish serves!
