@callofduty44 - read the thread, I don't think I can explain it better then it was already explained. Trust me, it is tough to return from behind the line with low return skill....with high return skill - no problem![/quote]

i think now he means a normal slow kick serve without rt+lt. only serve with b button. but this serve you can return easyly with low and high skill.- also i think,to make every time same serve is stupid, because i know than where the ball is coming,no surprise. a easy return from behind groundline
. much much better to mix serves. is more dangerous.

it is a serve that travels around 90mph. and it is done by purposely "miss hitting" the serve....tapping the B...or something like that.... it bounces very high. It certainly not impossible to return, but really thought.

I think a lot of how hard it is to return depends on where you stand. If you stand right behind the baseline, it might be harder than if you stand a few steps back.

saying that it isnt allowed would be saying that u arent allowed to hit anything but a risk serve.....

i have my serve at 50 so anything that is not a risk is not going to have much pace......i even time it correctly, i just dont use risk

as for it being easy only if u have a high return stat........well isnt that the case with everything? It is hard for me to hit aces with my serve on 50 but do i complain? I am far from cheesy also as i do not even use slice serves hardly ever...

IMO arguing that a serve does not have enough pace is a weird argument

all builds have their weakness and strengths......there are consequences for not putting hardly anything on return

Well, lets continue "chewing" it then, remember, in good spirit, don't take anything personal, defend your point of view, not yourself.

First slice serve, absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact, I prefer a slice wide serve anytime to Rob's down the "T" rocket. To me they are easy to return, with 40 in return.

as for it being easy only if u have a high return stat........well isn't that the case with everything? It is hard for me to hit aces with my serve on 50 but do i complain?

No, you don't complain, you found the way out with slow serve.

IMO arguing that a serve does not have enough pace is a weird argument

You don't find the fact that 90mph slow serve is so effective wired? really?

I am far from cheesy also as i do not even use slice serves hardly ever...

Absolutely! There is nothing cheesy about your game at all!

all builds have their weakness and strengths......there are consequences for not putting hardly anything on return

There I agree with you, on that note, serve 50 should not be that effective right? I myself do not use RT on returns, most of my returns are placement, not power.... you will be able to reach most of the returns....you may not be able to follow up with a nice risk, but you will reach them.....that is 40 return.

.... think real tennis, you are a player right? .... would you serve like that? ....yes it is a game, not real tennis and you got to go with what works... that is why I say it is an exploit.....tactical exploit.

Defiantly Not cheesy, as the counter exists - but dare I say "cheap"? (please, please don't get offended, you are NOT cheap, I am referring to the serve, not you)

Anyhow,
I would like a chance to try and counter that serve tonight if you are available, use a couple of ideas from here and some of my own.

Thanks Mike!

No conclusion has been drawn whether this serve gets the cheesy status. As you can see, so far the poll is in favour of 'not cheesy'..

I think Rob might be right because when i return i stand far back and those serves dont seem to bother me as much, but slice is a different story.

Every move has its consequences, like if u time slow serve right with LT then it will be hard for the opponent to counter with a risk shot. same thing with returning, if u stand far back then you protect yourself from the slow b, but the slice outwide will almost certainly get u. :D
