No, in fact I sent him an email once about this a few years ago. I asked him if he knew about us and would be willing to put a link to our site on his. He said he was fully aware of our site, but that he wanted to remain neutral and not include any links.

To be fair to the guy he must put a lot of effort in to do all that himself, to help other people. That being said he probably pilfers a lot form these boards 8)

Talked to him a few times over email, very helpful guy with great knowledge of the game mechanics. I asked whether he knew about this site and what he wrote was "I am not in the ITST. I was invited to join their ranks way back when the original Top Spin first came out, but after playing a few of their top gamers (who were cheesy players), I politely declined." :D :D :D He didn't specify what sort of cheese though (personally I like young Gouda).

I've never used his actual walkthrough which might be helpful if you're completely new to video games in general but otherwise it's jsut a good read. His side information is far more interesting. And yes, his SIM style sections (even his recommendations of how to create a "good" player by putting a lot of points into crappy stats) reminds me of ITST.

To be honest, i can understand where he is coming from. ITST has always been transforming. The attitude towards cheesy gameplay was a whole lot different in the beginning period of the site during TS1 on the Xbox. I did not join until the game was released for the PC (at the end of 2004 ) but from what i understand it was a lot more geared towards winning and less about how that victory came to be. Things like letting matches be replayed and asking a certain degree of sportmanship of our members would be totally out of the question. Back then there was only 1 rule and that was not to use zero powered serves(as it would create a glitch in the return). For the rest you just had to get better if you got beaten by a cheesy player.

Next time you speak to him you might mention the changes ITST has gone through since that time. We can always use someone with passion for the series. He always seemed to me someone with a strong opinion about the game. I didnt always agree with what he said but that is okay. Im pretty sure he would be an addition to the community.
