Why many players retired?

Postby nitoflament » Fri, 17 Sep 2010 23:55

Hello all! I have noticed that many players move back in the tournaments, overcoat in the important and in the decisive rounds. I understand that could happen something and you move back, but lately it happens very followed. Serious it would be great that each one promises himself and is responsible as soon as it registers in a tournament and respect other participants.

i have apreciated that too, i think that the reason for retiring or give a wo, many times is the connection, i'm sure that djarvik gave WO in US Open for that reason, but is true , when u register in a tournament at least u should be sure that u can play your matches if doesn't happen anything strange.

For the record, Maximo is right... We could not connect with lonamer at all, our match was a QF on a 2 day extention already, so we both agreed on coin-toss after close to 1 hour of trying to connect, he won the toss 6 to 1
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

Well, I have a life also, I couldn't finish my match against corrbuster as I had an exam the day after.. I've been caught by my mother
He couldn't play 2 days before, the 1st time he didn't answer, 2nd time he said he can't.. then thursday I had to prepare an exam, I tried to play, just 1 set we played, then I leave the 2nd set (because of my mother)..
We can't really do something with those things, education goes first.

Maybe this is the very reason people are quitting, withdrawing, retiring

You're a very bad coin tossing player. I thought you were better. Pity
