Alex needs to win that title to be Number one next week....otherwise he will have to wait 2 weeks, but eventually, with his win over me in SF RG he secured the #1 spot and denied my run for it. If I would have won, I would be in his place

All hail the new SIM Number 1!

Me and Jose are fighting for a second place now.

Congrats Alex!

Thanks, I practised alot to play our match, and I came prepared and I felt I could play my best game.

However, we both soon realized it would be an annoying match, as lag snuck its ugly nose in. We disconnected 3 times or so, and it was crazy hard to move our players, and the hiccups on serve completely killed returns.

Luckily for me, Dj is probably the only person on this site that is more affected by lag than I am.

I reckon its cause over here we had a crazy storm, which caused mass flooding and such to nearby cities (Luckily in my city we don't have a river or a coast, but the storm still messed up signal I guess).

Anyway, Its only a matter of time before you take the number one spot buddy

Nitoflament beat Alex 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6

It was a great game, both played very long rallies, variety of shots, especially good tennis. I played much of the game with great strength.

1st. and 2nd set: both sets were very closed, we had break points but could not capitalize on them. The serve was very important for both, in first i got a good lead and i take it, but in the second Alex was the one who took advantage and took it with great authority.

3rd set: started the same way, with good services and greats shots from the baseline, L2, R2, R2 + L2 was not enough to win a point, resistance became a major concern, both players did not react in the same way like in the beginning. When Alex served 4-4, with a couple of good returns i had three break points, so I could take one and take the set.

4th set: Here i was very confident but Alex started better than me and broke my service at the beginning of the set, but as if nothing had happened, i did not fail to confirm his advantage and quickly took his service. Tiebriek finally arrived, i had no idea who would take the initiative, fortunately for me i got two mini breaks, then Alex recovered one, but it was not enough, and i take the game.

It was a great final, he is a great opponent and will not take long time to be number one in the world.
