It`s time to change the Rules

Postby NEUTRONOStar » Mon, 19 Apr 2010 04:43

Hi All

It seems that Risk slice is causing controversy and that some players do not want to listen in regards to using R2 Slicing.

Could the ITST team change the rule to outlaw R2 Slice then that would stop all problems before certain players hit the tour or does the ITST team feel this will open a can of worms of people saying this when someone did that.

well its difficult to decide what is R2 slice but i agree it can be gamewinning. played yesterday in WT against John96099 or something like that, i have never seen such risk slicer in my life, but he was returning from inside the box too of course :D so it was short slice and long slice all the time.

im really immune by now against cheesers so i just take it as unfair loss and im not upset with it.

as i said sometimes its very difficult to decide what is risk slice, i know some defensive short slices look like risk slices too. for that reason its no use in voting, when we cant control the rules we are creating

Democratic change

Postby NEUTRONOStar » Tue, 20 Apr 2010 01:17

The pro tour players i am sure could pick which is a R2 slice and a L2 slice as the L2 rises in the air more and is not flat so it is nearly allways possible to hit the L2 slice.

The R2 Slice is nearly impossible to control or return when it is done efficiently.

So the verdict is out why not apply for a rule change as i believe this is a democracy.

I was accused of risk slice but was using normal slice. If I could do risk slice I probably would, but the risk buttons always mess up my timing.

However, I feel risk returns should definitely be outlawed before slicing is! Risking returns make the game very dull.

Totally disagree
Risk returns actually take timing and a lot more skill than risk slice, anybody can pull of risk slice
