How to choose a SIM character?

Postby ELTXETXU » Mon, 05 Apr 2010 18:20

Hi!
I would want to create a SIM player, but i'm not sure what character is better for my game. I never go to the net, so all players that have a very good volley don´t interest me. Also i´m used to play with a faster player (80) but i´m not sure about that (i don´t know if a faster player is really an advantage). Any suggestion or recommendation? Thanx!! :D

You don't have to pick one and stick with him. I think the best thing to do is narrow down the list to 4-5 you think you will like (based on factors you already mentioned), try them all and then make a decision.

Rogers, Thomson, and Nakamura are good guys for you to start with, I would guess.

you should test some players before to choose your favourite...
I changed so many sim players untill now.I started with bucci, then nakamura, house and now bishop.
sim style is very different from regular.
u can't really understand which is your best player only readiing the stats...

btw i played u sometimes and i suggest u to try bucci,bishop,rogers,thompson...

I think a big part of it, at least for me is finding a guy that I can get into a serve rhythm with. Once I find a rhythm I like to try and stay around that level of serve so there isn't a drastic difference. I do think speed is important also, especially in SIM where you will see more risk. It's kind of a trade off, though. They did a good job in making fast guys sort of lame on the wings, and guys with good forehands generally slow. In the end, just experiment man, it's a lot of fun!

I've personally been using Thompson and having really solid results.
Norberto H or bust.
