TS3 WS Stats.

Postby Otlichno » Sun, 07 Feb 2010 18:43

OK I realize now that I am absolutely hopeless with a stacked player on WS. So I'd just like the opinions of you guys what you think a good way to organize the stats because I'd like to have at least one win in WS.

Im using high 80's groundstrokes and yellow serve/return/speed. Works for me. Record speaks for it self.

That's awesome. Indeed it does.

You're only short-changing yourself w/ a stacked set up. You won't improve at all w/ a 4x90 set up. Any idiot can win w/ 90 90 90 90 80 40 40. I use 90fh, 80bh, 90pw, 70srv.

What brgerflipr said.

If you want to get better, then don't max the stats completely. Find the least stacked setup that allows you to win.

Mine is:

FH75 BH80 SER90 RET55 VOL40 POW90 SPE80 STA50

It is also important to realize why are you losing. Is it because of stats? ....or simply tactics? ...or maybe it is simply lack of skill?

Even thou I have 75FH and 80BH ....you will rarely outhit me. And I do well against stacked players like 4x90. Are you getting Powered of the court? ...or wrong footed? ...or killed on returns? ...or are you unable to return serves?

I can try and help if you want. Just tell me what you having problems with.

I really think my problem is based on tactics and organization of the stats. The reason I loved the new sim system was I just had to pick any player from the list and play, because I rarely ever adjust my game to different opponents I simply come into the match and play by instinct. But when I started WS I started against BrgerFliper who does not stack his players and I had a chance against him with my un-stacked player because it felt like a SIM match in all honesty. But than I faced other people and I felt the need to stack my players to even have a chance against them. But than I faced Alex with my stacked player against his unstacked and I STILL had no chance. So I just need to find the balance with the stats.

Ugh I lost in WS again 6-4 7-5 to Kiensabeq. What annoyed me was at 5-5 in the second he was 40-0 up and than I came back and it became 40-30 and he served from the far side and won the point. I know it was only one point but it was a critical point in the match. Well my quest to win one WS match is still going on

Did he step all the way over? or just one step? Either way, it's lame.

Also, did you just play him recently? He no-showed for our match and claimed that he was taking an exam.....

That is breaking the rules at its worse. If he would have served the whole match, you would have had time to adjust. But resorting to "shady tactics" at crucial points is the worst for me.

On that subject thou...I want to remind "some" players.....the rules clearly states to Serve from Default position or closer to the center...so do not take that one step wide, its breaking the rules.

Also, the player moves gradually after each serve...in a long match you can end up serving from wide without going there....so its good to check if your player moved too far and adjust position.

Otlichno - please send a PM to the Host in the future on all rules violations. We take it very seriously.....there is nothing worse then someone working his ass off to get to a certain point of the match only to lose a crucial point by virtue of the opponents cheating.

I've always wondered if it was just my imagination, or if that was really happening. I kind of think it happens when you serve without bouncing the ball?

It's not much though.
